For the first time in history, Hasbro has gathered 22 of the world's top brands to appear on the Monopoly game board.
The new Monopoly Empire game features world-class brands, such as Cocoa-Cola, Xbox, McDonald's and Samsung, creating a new Monopoly gaming experience where players collect, buy and trade top brands and companies – rather than property – in a quest to win it all and win the game.
The Monopoly Empire game continues Hasbro's tradition of providing exciting new ways for families to play games together," said Eric Nyman, Senior Vice President and global brand leader for Hasbro Gaming. "The game allows kids to create their ultimate dream empire and imagine what it would be like to own the brands that mean the most to them, whether that's Xbox or Spotify."
Additionally, players will travel around the game board with tokens that represent six of the brands featured in the game: a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray, a Ducati motorcycle, an iconic Coca-Cola glass bottle, an Xbox controller, a Paramount Pictures movie clapboard and McDonald's world famous french fries.
Inspired by high-rise advertising seen in the world's biggest cities, players showcase the brands they own with billboards on a tower. The first player to fill their tower with their brand billboards wins the game. But beware of a hostile takeover, a stock market crash or other events that will change the outcome of the game. With no need to collect colour property groups or build houses or hotels, most players will be able to complete a game in less than 30 minutes.
