Joe Davies appoints David Cree as Sales Director

Manchester based importer and giftware distributor Joe Davies has appointed David Cree, former National Sales Manager, as Sales Director of the company.

David has been with Joe Davies since 2004 and will be responsible for all sales operations across the business.

Managing Director, Paul Hooker commented "David has effectively been carrying out the Sales Director role for some time and his appointment is in recognition of all his hard work.

David's customers will be delighted, it's a very well-deserved promotion and a natural progression for Joe Davies."

Kate Mason joins ACID as Director of Marketing

Anti Copying in Design (ACID) has announced the appointment of Kate Mason as Director of Marketing.

Kate brings a wealth of experience to the ACID team not only from her impressive credentials within the creative industries but also from her pioneering role leading The Big Draw, now a global organisation, helping children to recognise their creative soul through exploration and expression of ideas. Kate also brings her enthusiasm and passion for arts and crafts as Chair of the Society for Designer Craftsmen (SDC).

And the Creative Impulse Award goes to...

Just about a month before the Oscars in Hollywood, Creativeworld honours the most innovative new products with the Oscar of the hobby, craft and artists' supplies sector. The Creative Impulse Award was presented today on the opening day of the leading international trade fair. The crowds at the ceremony were huge and the excitement about who will win an award in one of the five categories was palpable.

Rainbow Designs appoints new National Accounts Manager

Pentel appoints John Cotterell into sales team

Stationery brand Pentel has appointed industry veteran John Cotterell to manage its sales territory from Staffordshire to the Channel Islands, encompassing south and mid-Wales, south-west England and much of the M40 corridor.

John joins Pentel following the recent retirement of long-standing Pentel territory manager Sally Evans.

With over 40 years' experience John has extensive knowledge of the stationery industry and writing instruments in particular, gained through territory and national account manager roles with Stabilo, Esselte and, latterly, Pilot.

Fanattik appoints new Sales Director

Fanattik, the UK based pop culture gift licensee, has appointed Luiz Ferreira to the position of Sales Director.

Luiz first started with Fanattik as a consultant three years ago before moving up to head of sales and now as Sales Director he will be managing relationships with gift retailers throughout the UK, mainland Europe, MENA and Australasia.

A gaming and film fan himself, Luiz brings more the twenty years' experience working with pop culture merchandise to the role.
