The British Millinery Association CIC (BMACIC) and ACID have been in dialogue for some months now with a joint desire to work collaboratively to promote IP awareness and have formalised this by entering a new Partner arrangement to support BMACIC members in protecting their rights in this area through education and access to ACID support and resources.Underpinning the design and making of those who create hats is a passion for originality and creativity, a proud heritage and a craft that combines skills and knowledge. From couture to ready to wear, milliners generate intellectual property in different forms including design rights, copyright, trademarks and less so, patents.

Leicester-based Heavenly Feet has moved its storage and fulfilment outlet to a new location to cater for growing demand. The new base is a carbon-neutral warehouse located near Nottingham, just off the M1 allowing easy access to the brand's retail partners nationwide. The move has taken place thanks to Heavenly Feet's huge success in recent years after continued year on year growth. The new base will cater for their planned growth and ongoing move to becoming more sustainable. Furthermore, Heavenly Feet has celebrated reaching 300 independent retail partners to stock the brand - known for its reputation to sell-through.

Scrap-Addict is a complete scrapbooking kit and allows the user to create their own memories by expressing their creativity using the components included. The brand joins an international movement of 4500 purpose-led businesses that meet B Corp's high standards of social and environmental responsibility and transparency.
Based on the B Corp assessment, Trendsetter earned an overall score of 84.3, performing particularly high in the 'environment' and 'worker' sections, being recognised for its commitment to sustainability, continuously innovating and investing in ways to reduce its ecological footprint.

Pure London has always served as a meeting point for the fashion industry and, from this February, sustainability will be at the fore with a curated selection of conscious exhibitors.

Trek Logistics Ltd has acquired Dairy Diary, with the change of ownership said to provide a 'secure and exciting future for the iconic brand.'
Originally launched to support the milkman by the Milk Marketing Board, Dairy Diary is still sold by milkmen and woman across Britain, as well as having soaring sales online. It was taken on by Eaglemoss Ltd in 2001, and now acquired by Trek.
Trek Logistics is owned by Nigel Mothersole, former Head of Operations at Eaglemoss, providing an already sound understanding of Dairy Diary. There is a strong synergy between the two businesses with Trek providing all fulfilment services for the products.

Miss Milly has been named as a finalist in the Boutique Star Awards with nominations in the Best British Brand and Accessories/Footwear Brand of the Year categories.
It's been a stellar year for Miss Milly with the British brand chalking up nominations for The Gift of the Year and the FSB Celebrating Small Business Awards.
