Success in Scotland!

Tourism in Scotland has begun to bounce back strongly with foreign visitors returning this summer, bringing much needed business to shops and attractions around Scotland. Following this successful summer season, Scotland's Trade Fair Autumn, provided a welcome chance to re-order, seek new products and network with suppliers.The Show took place at the SEC in Glasgow from 17-18th September. Having been brought forward by a day because of The Queen's funeral, the Show still attracted retailers keen to re-stock and re-order.

Toy Fair 2023 sells out!

The British Toy & Hobby Association (BTHA) is delighted to announce that Toy Fair 2023 has sold out four months ahead of the show opening, with all exhibition spaces including the Greenhouse, now with waiting lists. The prestigious annual show, which is back for its 69th year, is taking place from the 24th-26th January 2023 at Olympia London. With 250 exhibiting companies in attendance, occupying the Grand and National halls on both levels, the toy industry is gearing up for one of the busiest shows to date!

Giving & Living returns

As we head into the 'Golden Quarter' and retailers start gearing up for their Christmas merchandise displays, plans for the next edition of Giving & Living are well under way and a host of suppliers are lining up to join the premier Coastal sourcing event in the UK buying calendar. Running from 15th-17th January 2023 at Westpoint, Exeter, Giving & Living is a very important trade event for home and giftware in the south-west of Britain, covering more coastal regions than any other exhibition.

Autumn Fair 2022 delivers on inspiration & discovery

Thousands of retailers visited Autumn Fair, the UK's wholesale marketplace for Home, Gift, Fashion and Sourcing, yesterday at the NEC Birmingham to source new products from hundreds of exhibitors as well as enjoy a host of insightful and educational talks and inspirational catwalk shows. The show floor was buzzing throughout the day, and feedback from exhibitors highlighted the volume of quality orders being placed while visitors were delighted to discover so many exciting new brands and products.

Harrogate Fashion Week closes its doors on a successful show

Harrogate Fashion Week closed its doors after a 2-day, record breaking event. Brands exhibiting reported record sales being reached and there was a significant increase in buyers attending.

The Sunday brought in nearly 50% more buyers than last year and the increase on Monday was a phenomenal 75% increase from last July.

The show is no longer a regional event and is now truly on the fashion trade calendar as being the largest exhibition of womenswear clothing brands under one roof, with a substantial amount of special occasion wear showing.

Brand Licensing Europe unveils first live fashion catwalk

Brand Licensing Europe (BLE), the leading European event for licensing and brand extension, has unveiled the timetable for its first ever live fashion catwalk, with nine inspiring 15-minute shows over the event's three days. BLE takes place 20-22 September at ExCeL London and visitors can register for free online.

To date, attending companies include stalwarts such as Primark, Stradivarius, FASHION UK, George @ Asda, Sainsburys Tu, Next, John Lewis, ASOS, GEMO, and thousands of other leading retailers and manufacturers.

On the 21st of July the industry congregated at Sook Oxford Street, London, to learn the Shortlisted entries for the upcoming 2022 Creative Retail Awards. The shortlist presents some of the very best in global retail, leisure, and hospitality design & display with projects including Woolworths South Africa, Sports Direct, Chanel, Sky, Coach, Asda and many more.
