UK Point of Sale is calling on independent retailers from across Britain to take a photo of their celebratory window displays this summer to be in with a chance of winning an iPad, to show its support of the sector and Independent Retailer Month this July.
With the Queen's Jubilee, the Olympics, Wimbledon and Euro 2012 coming up, UK POS is encouraging retailers to capitalise on the excitement and design window displays themed to these events.
UK POS's recent research into window displays found that over half of consumers would be more likely to enter a shop with a Made in Britain themed window, so it is looking to crown the best independent retailer window display of the summer.
Retailers can enter using Twitter or Facebook by uploading their photo on the UK POS Facebook page (www.facebook.com/UKPOS) or by sending their photo directly to the UK POS Twitter page (@ukposgroup).
The Independent Retailers competition is open to retailers in the UK and Republic of Ireland that are classed as 'independent'. Entry is via Twitter or Facebook and only one entry will be counted per retailer, but multiple photos of the same window can be sent – the more the merrier. The closing date for the competition is 31st July, 2012 and the winner will be announced in August.
