Designers, Makers and Global Workshop Leaders are Encouraged to Apply for Accent on Design®, Handmade® Global Design and Handmade® Designer Maker Sections -

This summer, NY NOW®, the Market for Home, Lifestyle + Gift, will bring together the design and décor industry for the highly-anticipated summer 2018 market at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New Yok City. The Market features three juried sections - Accent on Design®, Handmade® Global Design and Handmade® Designer Maker. Applications are currently being accepted but deadlines are fast-approaching!

NY NOW's summer 2018 market takes place in its entirety August 12-15, 2018 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, eliminating the staggered opening and closing pattern of past shows. All sections of NY NOW summer market will open on Sunday, August 12 at 9am and close on Wednesday, August 15 at 3pm (one hour later than previous markets). No sections are open on Saturday. Attendees will be able to shop 2,300+ exhibiting brands and explore tens of thousands of new and exciting products across hundreds of product categories each day of the Market.

Accent on Design - Application deadline: Friday, March 23, 2018
For more than 30 years, the prestigious Accent on Design section at NY NOW has been the industry's leading resource for innovative, design-led merchandise. The section is home to nearly 150 established and emerging design brands that push the creative envelope, showcasing unique and forward-thinking design across all categories of products and mediums. It is curated by an independent selection committee of professionals in the contemporary design community. Applications should demonstrate original, creative and authentic product design; new and innovative use of materials and/or process; and a focus on contemporary design. The Accent on Design section will be open Sunday, August 12 at 9:00 a.m. through Wednesday, August 15 at 3:00 p.m. and located on Level 3 of the convention centre.


Handmade Global Design - Application Deadline: Tuesday, March 20, 2018
NY NOW's Handmade Global Design section features 150 global import resources with a focus on good design, traditional craftsmanship, and community-building through global artisan workshops. Applicants must demonstrate a developed line of unique and original work, authentic designs, handmade through global artisan workshops, quality craftsmanship, capabilities for U.S. distribution and wholesale pricing. The Handmade Global Design section will be located in the River Pavilion on level 4 of the convention centre though it will not be open on Saturday as in past years. It will open on Sunday, August 12 at 9am. alongside the rest of the Market and close on Wednesday, August 15 at 3pm.


Handmade Designer Maker - Application deadline: Tuesday, March 20, 2018
The Handmade Designer Maker section showcases 350 designer maker resources from across the United States and around the world, with a focus on limited-production makers across all product categories. Makers looking to exhibit in this section must showcase a developed line of unique and original work that is designed and hand-made by the artists with a focus on limited production and quality craftsmanship.
