Mandarin Arts has been celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The last quarter of a century went by in a flash for the company, which evolved from its inception in London in the '80s to its present day role as a company importing from the Far East.
Mandarin Arts supplies the UK and other European countries with a diverse portfolio of products, reflecting the cultures of traditional and modern China and other countries of East Asia. Now based in rural South Wales, in the Brecon Beacons National Park, the owner of the company studied Mandarin in China shortly after the end of the Cultural Revolution, and has watched at close quarters the rapid and tempestuous transformation of a country and its people.
On 28 March, 2013, a party was held to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Mandarin Arts. Looking to the future, the company hopes to continue engaging customers with creative designs based on folklore, history and art, and to introduce people to old customs and traditions still practiced and enjoyed in China despite the country's often deceptive modern façade.
