The 40th Bangkok International Gift Fair and Bangkok International Houseware Fair - BIG+BIH, which took place in October 2015, came to a close with impressive success. The exhibition is organised by the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce in collaboration with the Thai Lifestyle Products Federation and the Design and Objects Association.
The five-day trade show remains a most-celebrated sourcing platform where at least 57,000 buyers from around the world gathered to browse innovative designs and inspiring products being offered by 489 companies from around Thailand and the globe. The fair generated more than 1.3 billion baht in total value of purchase orders while public days' sales recorded over 75 million baht: a significant increase of 11 per cent from last year. Such impressive response indicates significant growth of lifestyle products in the year-end period.
BIG+BIH remained an established sourcing ground for quality lifestyle products. It's the biggest trade event of its kind for the ASEAN region, and the fourth biggest in Asia. More importantly, it serves as an ideal marketing tool for manufacturers and exporters to introduce their designed items to local and international buyers from every corner of the world including the USA, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Australia, Denmark, Sweden, Brazil, Switzerland, France, Japan, China, South Korea, Malaysia, Vietnam, and Myanmar.
Visitors enjoyed browsing the latest collection of products from 489 companies in 1,353 booths. The top 10 countries with the biggest number of visitors were Thailand, Japan, China, Taiwan, USA, Singapore, Germany, United Kingdom, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
The next BIG+BIH takes place between 19th - 23rd April, 2016 at BITEC, Bangna, Thailand.
