They are Fair Trade and hand made by Indian artisans. The products are cast, then rough polished and enamelled before being beautifully finished with a smooth polish. Every one of these items is individually made to the very highest quality with a hand finished colour enamel.
The Butterflies and Bee are a four way product, not only being a stand alone product but by buying a separate plant stake, pot stake or wall hanging attachment that can be screwed into the base of the product, they can become a plant or pot stake or a wall hanging decorative item.
Each product is not only recycled but is completely recyclable making a perfect eco-friendly gift.

SOAPSTONE, SEEDPOD & MEG HAWKINS COLLECTIONS
SEEDPODS - These Fair Trade Seedpod Birds and Animals are handmade in Zimbabwe by Raina Mazwiembiri and her adult daughters (pictured left). They collect seedpods which have fallen from Ulumbu trees (Sterculia rogersii). The seedpods are not found in quantity in the area where they live, so they have to travel seven hours to the Bulawayo area to pick them, and then travel back home. Standing on hand twisted wire feet, they are then hand painted and decorated in bright colours to produce these beautiful birds and animals, each with their own unique markings and poses.
SOAPSTONE - These beautiful carved sculptures are handmade in Kenya. Stone sculptures have been carved in Kiisi in Kenya for over 60 years. Kiisi Stone is soft and varies in colour from white to rose and even grey. Carvers work in small groups with each group specialising in certain carvings. The carvings are then polished and dyed in vibrant colours and beautiful etchings inscribed in them by skilled teams of artisans.
MEG HAWKINS - Tilnar Art is very proud to be working with the talented wildlife watercolour artist, Meg Hawkins. The Meg Hawkins Collection combines our signature range of recycled food safe aluminium bowls, coasters and dishes with Meg Hawkins stunning wildlife paintings. They are Fair Trade and hand made by Indian artisans working in cooperatives. The products are cast, then rough polished and enamelled before being beautifully finished with a smooth polish. Every one of these items is individually made to the very highest quality.
A selection of Meg’s unique watercolour wildlife collection is exclusive to Tilnar Art on recycled Aluminium bowls and coasters. It is achieved by applying layers of enamel securing the picture beneath, making it food safe. Each product comes in a superb presentation box making a perfect gift.
