Millions of pounds worth of business was generated during the last four days at the UK's leading home, gift and fashion trade show, Autumn Fair co-located with Moda, reigniting, and refuelling the retail industry.Retailers from across the UK, including Harrods, Anthropologie, Dunelm, Walt Disney Company, Graham & Green, Tesco, Hobbycraft, La Redoute, Lakeland, Next, Paperchase, Pets at Home, and Sainsbury's, flocked in their thousands to attend the first major retail trade show since lockdown in March 2020.

On day three of the UK's leading home, gift and fashion show, Autumn Fair co-located with Moda, visitors were treated to an insightful and honest conversation with retail entrepreneur and small business advocate Theo Paphitis in which he championed hybrid retail - the mix of physical and online retailing. As well as highlighting the growth in convenience and localised shopping, he urged would-be retailers to take the opportunity now to open physical stores and revealed that his businesses are looking to open more stores and have identified 200 sites to investigate.

BCTF Online 2021, which ran from 27 June – 1 July, welcomed close to a thousand verified retail trade buyers to the five-day digital event, plus hours of content from an expert line-up of speakers. Participants in the show, where categories ranged from jewellery and fashion accessories through to ceramics, glass, woodwork, fine art and paper products, were lavished with attention from exclusive retail buyers in search of the best British handmade products. The event attracted 888 buyers in total, who viewed thousands of catalogue pages and images, watched hundreds of videos and created hundreds of favourites during the show.

After extensive research, and collaboration with exhibitors, buyers and partners alike, Spring Fair organisers Hyve has announced that next year the show is to become a four-day event. The new show dates will run from Sunday 6th February – Wednesday 9th February, 2022 at The NEC in Birmingham, and will include the introduction of late-night openings until 7.30pm on the Sunday and Monday. The team will also introduce a new sourcing destination, expanding the marketplace even further.
