Wild Things Gifts – a wholesale gift supplier based in Devon – has pledged support to NHS Charities Together by donating £2,277, generated through sales of its signature Thank You Rainbow.
The national charity has switched its focus on the immediate practical and emotional needs of health workers during the pandemic, which has put a tremendous amount of pressure on the charity's resources.
The special edition suncatcher was introduced in August last year, itself intended as a way to show appreciation for healthcare staff. At the time of its introduction, the company committed to giving 50p from each sale to NHS Charities Together. Designed and handcrafted in Britain, the Thank You Rainbow quickly received widespread support from Wild Things stockists.
Jules Vahrman, company Founder and Director, says, "Our retailers really got on board with both the product and the charity drive, for which we're really appreciative. It's great to see it become such a popular item, but of course the real satisfaction comes from knowing that we've been able to make a significant contribution to such an important cause."
Even though the Thursday evening applause feel like a distant memory, our Thank You Rainbows are still as popular as ever. We'll continue to set aside 50p from every sale with the intention of making a similarly large donation in 2022."
