Founded in 1997, The Art File is an independent, family-run publisher of greeting cards, gift wrap, stationery and paper goods. Operating from the city’s Lace Market district, the company designs its collections in-house and works with a network of freelance artists, supplying retailers across the UK and exporting to more than 30 countries through its own ecommerce platform. Its portfolio spans everyday and seasonal greeting cards as well as giftware, puzzles, calendars and notebooks, with all products printed in the UK on sustainably sourced board and sold plastic-free. Having expanded from a start-up run from a spare room to an award-winning exporter, the business received the Queen’s Award for International Trade in 2017 in recognition of overseas sales growth. For its international distribution needs, the company has been working with Sawtry-based World Options franchise partner Craig Strangward since 2025 and has now expanded its contract by integrating the World Options portal into its distribution systems. On the contract extension with The Art File, Mr Strangward said, “World Options offers customers the opportunity to ship domestically and worldwide with mainstream operators like DHL, FedEx, UPS, TNT and more, choosing the right option for every shipment, while also providing hands-on assistance with paperwork to reduce the risk of delays. World Options is part of Fortidia UK, which manages the Mail Boxes Etc., PACK & SEND and World Options brands in the UK, with the three companies together maintaining and supporting franchisees. www.worldoptions.co.uk or www.theartfile.com BEARDS & DAISIES EXPANDS GIFTING OFFER WITH PERSONALISED CARDS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH WOODMANSTERNE Beards & Daisies, one of the UK’s leading online houseplant retailers, has partnered with British greeting card publisher Woodmansterne to introduce a new range of personalised cards, Woodmansterne Moments, available alongside its plant gifting offering.
