Industry news GIBSONS CELEBRATES MILESTONE OF 2 MILLION TREES PROTECTED THROUGH THE ONE TRIBE PARTNERSHIP Gibsons, the UK-based family games and puzzle company, has announced a major sustainability milestone: the protection of 2 million trees through purchases made on its website, in partnership with environmental organisation One Tribe. Since launching the partnership, every puzzle or game purchased directly from the Gibsons website has contributed to rainforest protection, helping to safeguard biodiversity and reduce CO2 emissions. The milestone reflects the collective impact of conscious consumer choices and Gibsons’ ongoing commitment to putting people and planet at the heart of its business. As a Certified B Corporation, Gibsons is committed to using business as a force for good. In 2025, the company was also recognised with the King’s Award for Sustainability, acknowledging its long-standing approach to responsible manufacturing, ethical partnerships and environmental stewardship. Kate Gibson, Managing Director commented: “Reaching the milestone of 2 million trees protected is something we’re incredibly proud of. Partnering with One Tribe has allowed us to turn every puzzle and game purchase on our website into a positive action for the planet. Knowing our customers can enjoy doing what they love while helping to protect our planet and reduce CO2 emissions makes this partnership truly special.” The milestone underscores the power of purpose-led partnerships and reflects Gibsons’ belief that everyday moments of play can also create meaningful environmental impact. Through its collaboration with One Tribe and its wider sustainability initiatives, Gibsons continues to explore innovative ways to reduce its footprint while delivering joy through puzzles and games. www.gibsonsgames.co.uk Catch up on all the latest in our news round up WILD THINGS EXPANDS SALES TEAM Wild Things continues to invest in its growing UK sales network, welcoming additional experienced team members who bring wide industry knowledge, a strong understanding of what drives success on the shop floor, as well as an appreciation of quality gifts. Joining in March 2026, newest team member Sue Brayshaw covers the North East and Yorkshire. Having over 35 years in the gift industry, including roles as a National Account Manager and sales agent, Sue brings decades of experience alongside a practical, personable approach. Known for her reliability and willingness to go the extra mile, whether that’s through supporting displays in-store or tailoring ranges to suit individual customers, Sue is focused on building strong brand presence in the right locations. Sue’s advice on showing up as a valued retail partner is: “being prepared to get on your hands and knees with a duster, tidy up and count stock.” Supporting customers across Scotland is Irene Grant, who joined the business in 2025. With more than thirty years in sales, Irene has built a reputation for reliability, consistency and longstanding customer relationships. Working across a diverse mix of independent retailers and major garden centre groups, Irene is well versed in securing strong retail space and ensuring displays remain fresh, relevant and commercially effective. Both Irene and Sue share a clear understanding of today’s retail landscape. Success lies in optimising product alongside presentation and maintaining genuine relationships.
