We have had multiple designs for different materials, and settled on silicone – this material far exceeded our expectations. It makes it a winner in all kitchens. With less disposable income we fear people will spend less on gifts, and hope our reusable product will be seen more favourably long term. How do you view the future of independent retail? We fear a stall in independent retail as economies dive and unemployment rises. Are you active on social media? How is this important for the business? We are learning all about social media as we go – it’s vital for our teeny business, and we endeavour to continue learning within this marketing strategy. Do you have any advice for new businesses starting out in the world of gifts? Take a leap of faith and always believe.
