24 VICTORIA’S EGGS The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee collection celebrates 70 years since HRH Queen Elizabeth the Second’s coronation. The intricately hand-drawn design was inspired by the magnificent dress worn by The Queen during her Coronation in 1952 featuring embroidered flowers from across the Commonwealth including the Tudor rose (England), thistle (Scotland), leek (Wales), shamrock (Ireland), wattle (Australia), maple leaf (Canada), fern (New Zealand), protea (South Africa), lotus flowers (India and Ceylon) and wheat, cotton, and jute (Pakistan). The collection includes a mug, tea towel, apron, cushion, bauble, cup and saucer, canvas bag, coaster set, biscuits, tea and magnet. Victoria works with manufacturers and family-run businesses throughout the UK who skilfully produce her heartfelt gifts. Victoria’s textiles are handmade in the UK using environmentally friendly waterbased inks, ethical supply chains and recyclable materials and all the ceramics are hand-crafted using Cornish clay in Staffordshire, by Duchess China 1888. The crafted glass containers that house the fragranced oils are formed from recycled glass with sustainably sourced packaging and reeds. The fragrances offered in this new range are; Fresh Cotton, the smell of freshly laundered washing; Vanilla Vetiver, an essence of mellow meadows; Rose from the garden rose and Magnolia, bringing back memories of the Magnolia tree blossom; Lavender grown to attract bees and butterflies and reminding us of fields with an abundance of purple stems; and the distinctive smell of Lovage herb grown to fragrance oil and cuisine. With our fast-moving lifestyles and every changing world, little pleasures in the home can make a real difference and home fragrances seem to be ever popular for this very reason. The beauty of the human form has been captured by artists through the ages – from master pieces captured on canvas to the craftsmen of sculpture, the curves of the female form has especially featured in scenes of love, romance, religion, and history. The Body Vases from Lesser & Pavey provide a new angle on the female form, providing a functional product to display. As with the human form, the vases are available in different sizes of breast and bottoms.
