As a jewellery company that is primarily focused on gifting, the fashion trends aren’t as important as say a company that just sells fashion jewellery. In our product development meetings, we discuss concepts first and designs second. What sets you apart from your competitors? A number of things – we specialise in jewellery ranges for gifting that all comes in boxes. We also offer great margins and price points and our team deliver exceptional service too. How are you finding the current climate in the UK? Is it affecting business? Obviously it has been challenging, but I can honestly say we have been surprised how busy we have remained so we are looking forward to welcoming all our regular stockists back after lockdown. Are you active on social media? How is this important for the business? Yes, we are very active on social media and I believe it is a vital part of communicating, informing, promoting and engaging with your customers as well as a conduit to discovering new stockists. Do you have any advice for new businesses starting out in the world of gifts? My initial response would be to simply go for it – but make sure your supply chain is good, you’ve evaluated your market and understood your target audience. What can we expect in the future from the company? I think you can expect to see Life Charms continue to develop and innovate in the gifting jewellery sector and subsequently, and hopefully, continue to grow our family of stockists.
