18 Hyve Gr oup cancels 2020 show portfolio; Pure London, Scoop and Jacket Required to return in 2021 Event organisers Hyve Group has announced the cancellation of Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop and Jacket Required for the 2020 season, with the shows set to return in February next year. The decision follows the global impact of COVID-19, with Hyve also announcing the launch of a brand-new, virtual forum exclusively for its fashion community. The digital-only forum, called Fashion Together, is designed to unite the industry. According to a press release, “Recognising the importance of connecting people as a crucial part of what the shows provide, Fashion Together will provide an exclusive seminar programme and practical advice designed to educate and inform delegates. This will take place from 1 st to 2 nd September 2020 and is open to fashion brands and buyers.” Martin Arnold, Hyve Fashion Portfolio Director says, “After closely monitoring the situation, and listening to our customers, we have taken the decision that our London shows will not take place this year. We have carefully considered hosting these shows later in the year, but after speaking with our customers we feel that this would not provide the value that they have come to expect. However, we are excited to connect with our industry at Fashion Together and look forward to welcoming everyone to Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop and Jacket Required when they return to London in February 2021.” Pure London, Pure Origin, Scoop and Jacket Required will return to London to host their physical AW21/22 editions on 14 th -16 th February, 2021. Giving & Living trade show aims to help businesses bounce back in 2021 with updated format and safety measures Giving & Living trade show, taking place from 17-19 January, Westpoint, Exeter, is looking to help businesses bounce back in 2021, as well as offering a redesigned event to take on board the new safety measures needed amidst COVID-19. The show will also run over a shorter period of time. Show organisers, Hale Events believe they have set the scene for 2021 by making this early season event more accessible to participants. The show also has a new look, with an updated identity and refreshed website. Hale Events’ managing director Mike Anderson says, “There’s a real pent-up demand for holidays that won’t be fully met in 2020 because of the ongoing restrictions. All the signs for 2021 are that the public will be taking record numbers of family holidays in the peak weeks as well as short breaks throughout the year. “The South West is the UK’s tourism hotspot – and so set to benefit the most. Everyone in the tourism sector will be looking for the new ideas that will pull in customers and get the tills ringing – and this show brings all those ideas together in one place. There really is no need to look further than Giving & Living.” Discussing the updated format, Mike says, “We’ve spoken to exhibitors and asked them just how we can help them at a difficult time. Many of them have been looking to trim their costs as they strive to get back into profit. We’ve responded by reducing the show to three days as well as cutting exhibiting costs across the board. We have also extended the really popular ‘Designed and Made in Britain’ area, by allowing new businesses who qualify access to this trade show for just £525, for one year only, and also reducing rates for returning exhibitors. “We know from our post-show research that many buyers value this area highly, as it allows them to meet producers that they might not see anywhere else, and cater for the ever-increasing customer trend for sourcing products that both support local businesses and also reflect the area they’re visiting.” Mike continued, “We’re aware that this year has been challenging for many businesses and reducing the costs will allow more exhibitors to be at the show and meet the customers their businesses will need going forward. We’re looking forward to welcoming a host of new exhibitors – as well as visitors keen to see what will be setting the trend in the year ahead. If you’re looking to get next year off to a flying start, Giving & Living is the trade show that will inspire and provide the gifts that your customers want to take home with them - for friends, family, or as souvenirs of the holidays they’re finally able to enjoy.” For more information about the show, to book a stand, or register to attend, call +44 (0)1934 733433, follow @giving_living, or visit www.givingliving.co.uk
