Gift Focus - Sep/Oct 2019 (Issue 115)

38 Very kind folk Gift Focus chats to digital marketing executives Lizzie Gines and Sam Houlston of VKF of Worcester about Friday lunchtime brainstorming and manufacturing all of their products in the UK When did VKF of Worcester start up? VKF of Worcester was officially launched in April this year. However, the product development started in Autumn 2018. While we were already developing an array of wooden and acrylic products for our parent company, we wanted to test our capabilities and produce something a little different to our normal products. We decided to delve into the gift and home décor sectors, as we felt we could bring completely innovative, high-quality and one-of-a-kind products to the sector at reasonable prices. How has your first year of trading been? While it’s a challenge to set up a new business, we’re really pleased the way things have started, as some of our products have proved to be very popular already. Over recent months, we’ve been able to build up great relationships with our customers, including our trade partners and only hope to continue to do so as time goes on.
