What prompted you to launch the business? I was already buying a jewellery collection in for my retail shop but had a lot of trade enquiries, so decided to take the leap! What challenges have you overcome since the company’s launch? We have had challenges with the price of silver which can be volatile, and, of course, COVID. Tell us about your product offering Our core product is sterling silver jewellery with semi-precious stones. We also sell a range of brass with semi-precious stones. What are your most popular products? In the sterling silver our range of hammered hearts and sparkling gem set silver Birthstones, as well as our large stone rings. Have any styles taken you by surprise with their popularity? The fashion gem set brass bangles have been amazingly popular. How do you keep your designs fresh and current? Do you follow trends? When I go to India every year I design a new range inspired by the stones I find. What sets you apart from your competitors? We make a lot of new styles and keep our prices keen. How do you view the future of independent retail? I think there is a resurgence with young people very interested in buying from independent retailers. Are you active on social media? How is this important for the business? We do post on Instagram to keep in touch with our clients. Do you have any advice for new businesses starting out in the world of gifts? Be true to your taste. What can we expect in the future from the company? We are looking forward to expanding our brass range this year.
