SEEDBALL www.seedball.co.uk A set of bee-friendly Seedball mixes to support garden bees. Includes six small matchboxes, each highlighting a different British bee species with a unique seed mix to match. Includes 36 seed balls in total (6 balls per mix), with coverage for 2 square metres or 5-10 pots in total. The outer pack size is 12cm x 12cm x 2cm. The seed balls are made inhouse at their factory in London, from a mixture of UK wildflower seeds, clay, peat-free compost and chilli powder. The outer clay protects the seeds from ants, birds and mix, and once sufficient water has permeated the clay, the seeds inside begin to germinate – helped along by the nutrients and minerals contained within the ball. The chilli powder continues to deter slugs and snails while the seed ball slowly degrades and the seeds sprout. To grow, simply scatter on top of soil or compost in a garden bed or plant pot, leaving at least 10cm between each ball, water well, and nature will do the rest. No need for gardening expertise, or even a need to dig. Ideal eco-friendly gardening gift for anyone who loves bees and nature, as well as for children and people with limited mobility. Seedball is a multi-award-winning eco-enterprise. Founded in 2013 by two conservation scientists, the mission of Seedball is to help increase bee and butterfly abundance in the UK by increasing the popularity (and ease!) of growing wildflowers in gardens, balconies and window-boxes. THE FOXGLOVE TREE www.thefoxglovetree.co.uk The Foxglove Tree is addressing the growing demand for ecoconscious home fragrance with botanical cast diffusers that put sustainability at their heart. “We’re seeing more trade buyers asking about the environmental credentials of products,” says Clare, founder of The Foxglove Tree. “Customers care about where things come from and what happens to them at end-of-life, so we’ve built our business around those concerns.” The botanical specimens used for creating the moulds are sustainably sourced – grown in the founder’s own garden, responsibly foraged, or supplied by local small growers. “We work with local sources where possible, supporting British biodiversity,” Clare explains. “The flowers we use – including verbena, fennel, fuchsia, cow parsley and many others – are all plants that support pollinators and wildlife. Their details are captured in raised relief on each diffuser.” The dragonfly collection visually celebrates these important creatures that play a vital role in healthy ecosystems. “Dragonflies are beneficial insects for garden health, so featuring them in our designs offers retailers a nature-inspired product with a positive environmental message,” says Clare. Materials are chosen for longevity rather than disposability. “These aren’t throwaway items,” says Clare. “They’re designed to be kept and cherished, which is ultimately the most sustainable approach – buying less but buying better quality.”= Packaging is minimal and fully recyclable. “We don’t believe in excessive packaging. What we do use can be easily recycled or repurposed.” For trade buyers, eco-friendly products like these tap into an expanding market segment. Customers actively seek out sustainable alternatives and The Foxglove Tree’s diffusers deliver environmental credentials without compromising on aesthetics or functionality. With over 80 designs across two sizes and more than 30 scent options, trade buyers can build collections that align with their customers’ values while offering genuine product variety. It’s proof that eco-friendly and beautiful can go hand-in-hand. 26
