G H STAFFORD & SON GUIDED BY FEMALE FAMILY MEMBERS G H Stafford & Son is proud to be a fourth-generation family business, supplying high-quality handbags, wallets, belts, and accessories to retailers across the UK and internationally since 1947. Founded by the owner’s grandad and great-grandad after the war, the company quickly transitioned from manufacturing to importing in the 1970s, building strong supplier relationships that have been maintained to this day. Now in its fourth generation, the business is being guided by the next wave of family leadership — with the women of the family taking a more active role in shaping the company’s future. This year, G H Stafford has focused on introducing fresh handbag and backpack styles alongside new men’s accessories, designed to offer both style and practicality. The company is also increasing its presence in the garden centre and lifestyle store market, giving more customers access to its affordable yet high-quality products. Retailers value G H Stafford’s consistent stock availability and responsive service, making G H Stafford a trusted partner in the fashion and accessories market. www.ghstafford.com OTTOMAN HANDS SUPPORTS AFGHAN ARTISTS WITH NEW COLLECTION British jewellery brand Ottoman Hands is to launch its third collection in partnership with Turquoise Mountain, an organisation established in 2006 by His Majesty King Charles III. Turquoise Mountain supports artisans in Afghanistan to preserve and pass on their traditions to the next generation, elevate their craftsmanship, connect to global markets, and create income to sustain their families. Ottoman Hands is pleased to continue its partnership with Turquoise Mountain for this collection, which is based on two design themes as set by Ottoman Hands’ Founder, Deniz Gurdal: Emotions and Traditional Forms, and Patterns and Symbols of Afghanistan, made in collaboration with skilled jewellers in the heart of Kabul’s Old City. Gurdal has worked in partnership with Turquoise Mountain to train Afghan artisans, with every piece sold contributing directly to preserving artisanal heritage and local communities. Deniz Gurdal struck up this partnership back in 2020, having been inspired by the work the organisation does. Bringing Turquoise Mountain’s message to a wider audience, Ottoman Hands is proud to contribute to this mission in an ongoing capacity. INDUSTRY NEWS 5
