128 Around the corner Here, fast-growing fashion trade event Just Around The Corner organisers share more about what’s at the two shows in 2023… Can you give an overview of the show? Just Around the Corner is now entering it’s fourth season and is the fastest growing fashion trade event in the UK with over 400 exhibitors at the previous events. We are a bi-annual event and hold shows in Manchester and London. The new Beauty and Lifestyle zone will launch in London only on the 8-9 February ’23 at the Truman Brewery on Brick Lane in the heart of the East End. The new zone will cover categories covering Beauty, Wellness, Fragrance, Skincare, Grooming, Jewellery, Gifting and Homeware and include products ranging from diffusers to terrariums. The new zone will sit alongside our established zones which are womens, mens, footwear, accessories plus our sustainable zone. We offer complimentary refreshments and delicious dishes from our baristas and guest street vendors which is always a welcome bonus for our buyers who come and visit. We vet all of our exhibitors to ensure we have the best offering of collections on board and make sure that we have the right amount of established brands whilst still providing newness that buyers want to find when visiting a show. We are an order writing event and this season many brands are opting to participate in a new scheme where they will offer 5 percent for orders written at the show. How did you choose the venues for the shows? We always ensure we select central locations and close to important transport links. We love Brick Lane as it is the traditional heart of the wholesale district in London. The buildings we select always have bags of industrial character and provide the perfect backdrop for our events as we have always strived to offer something different from the staid and bland venues that other events often use. What are the most popular sectors? Aside from the free food and coffees, womenswear is particularly popular and brands showing with us return season on season as they don’t stop writing orders from start to finish.
