41 UP & COMING When did you start up and why? I launched at Top Drawer in January 2020. I’d gone through a few years of research and development, and creating the designs, so that’s when I was ready to launch. I had a great stand in the ‘Spotted’ section, which showcases new businesses. What prompted you to launch the business? I used to work in the film industry, as both a producer and a make-up artist, and I spent a lot of time in trailers, dressing rooms and stars’ houses – they all smelled amazing, because A-listers love luxury candles! So that sowed a seed. Collingwood candles combine the finest fragrances, conjuring up the essence of the English coast and countryside, from the seaside to an herb garden. The hand-poured candles are made using only non-GMO, palm oil-free waxes, ensuring they deliver a clean burning experience. We use the highest-quality fragrances. There are also co-ordinating bottles for most of our designs. What are your most popular products? Our bestselling candle is the Rosemary and Bay, with the bumble bee on the label, and we sell a lot of our matching match bottles, which make great presents. Have any styles taken you by surprise with their popularity? Our Christmas candle totally sold out last year. I’ve updated the label design for 2021 – it’s Christmas to the absolute max! How do you keep your designs fresh and current? Do you follow trends? I don’t follow trends in terms of the 
