65 UP & COMING When did you start up and what prompted the launch of the business? We established The Sea Shed in 2018, after many years working for much larger companies in the world of gifts and jewellery, we decided it was time that both myself and my wife had total control of the direction and ethos of our own company. From childhood we have both always lived by the coast, in Ireland, UK and France, so when we moved to St.Ives, Cornwall in 2017 it was the last piece of the jigsaw to establish our coastal-inspired eco-friendly company. We are dedicated to the ethos of producing a range of quality products, and all of our core products are made in the U.K. What challenges have you overcome since the company’s launch? Like most companies the main challenge we faced was the closing of the retail sector due to the series of COVID-19 lockdowns. We have had to be flexible and creative with the structure of our company. Tell us about your product offering. We create a diverse range of collections that have a strong cohesive design theme, which include the following products; • Soaps – Our premium soaps are exclusively created in the UK and are made with essential oils and fine fragrances. All soaps are triple milled to ensure the smooth texture and exquisite fragrance last to the very end. Our soaps are pure vegetable based, vegan friendly, not tested on animals and made from sustainable ingredients. • Scented Sachets – All our beautifully fragranced sachets are designed and handmade in the UK, using only the very best quality fragrances, to create scents that will enhance everything from wardrobes, cupboards, drawers and even cars. All our sachets are printed in the UK using FSC papers. • Candles – Our candles are manufactured in the UK using soy wax and quality fragrances. • Jewellery Cards – All our jewellery cards I  Coastal vibes Drawing inspiration from their seaside location, husband and wife team Stewart and Sarah have curated a stunning collection of products for their up and coming business, The Sea Shed
