97 Community spirit I t can be disconcerting buying product in what continues to be an unpredictable time, but with the high street tentatively opening its doors once more, and the online sales boom continuing to thrive – now is the time to stock your shelves and digital store front. This issue we are focusing on Clutch Bags and Beachwear, because whether it’s a staycation or – we can but hope – a trip overseas, consumers won’t let a pandemic stop them picking up the latest must-have holiday essential! What we’ve also seen emerge from this difficult situation, is a resurgence of community spirit. Despite being stuck behind closed doors, the ongoing sense of togetherness has been one of the overriding positives of the crisis, and this is set to continue into 2021 and beyond as people emerge from their homes. While online shopping will of course continue, digital fatigue is a true consequence of the increased virtual activity, and your consumers will be seeking to engage and interact in their local communities in order to welcome that human element that has been missing for so long.
