When did you start up and why? We first started trading in 2003 when we were at University by selling items we had bought when travelling in Asia. We thought this would be a better way to fund our living costs than getting part time work. Initially starting out as a small market stall IEP has flourished into a thriving business with a multi-million pound turnover that, over the last decade, has provided wholesale services to a wide range of customers including garden centres, independent gift stores, wholesalers, multiple retailers, furniture stores, florists and promotion specialists. What prompted you to launch the business? The business grew very organically from the outset, it was sometime before we realised we had a business. We had some really big breaks at the start finding exclusive products, that at the time we had no idea how difficult it was to find. Based in one of Peterborough’s newest business parks we are one of Cambridgeshire’s fastest growing businesses and can now boast being one of the leading wholesalers of decorative home ware and the leading commercialisation specialists in the UK offering franchise opportunity throughout the United Kingdom and Ireland. Since 2017, Sense Aroma has evolved from a small section in an independent gift store into a thriving multiple retailer operating throughout the UK & Ireland.
