Paul Hooker, Joe Davies commercial director, commented, “At Joe Davies we are big supporters of the main exhibitions and no Spring Fair in 2021 is really sad news for everyone. It’s a time when we meet so many of our customers, get feedback on our range and we thrive on the vibrant buzz of the halls. “It’s great news that the vaccine program is underway that will hopefully see a return to trade shows by the summer, but in the meantime the show, or more accurately, trade, must go on.” Joe Davies has launched its own ‘At Home’ Spring Fair that will take place at its spacious Manchester showrooms between the 1 st and 12 th March, 2021. Preparation for the Spring/Summer collection started, in the case of seasonal lines, a full year beforehand and even with the difficulties of 2020 the company will have plenty of new lines for its customers. When asked about products for the show Paul explained, “With such a large range there are too many trends and developments to cover them all. Generally, there will be a light feel to the collection as we look ahead to brighter horizons, with many additions to some of our best-selling ranges, such as Village Pottery, Scrabble Sentiments and Thoughtful Words – which has performed exceptionally well. “Sentiment gifts really have been a strong point for many, so expect new additions to our best-selling sentiment jewellery. On the home front we have lots of great new ranges following the family and friends’ theme, some with a bit of a twist. In addition, with the lifting of restrictions and some return to normality during the season, our Equilibrium Fashion Collection will have plenty of new life injected, so retailers can make the most of sales as people once again start to socialise and dress up.” Joe Davies is not new to hosting exhibitions in its showroom, so given the pandemic are there any special restrictions? Paul outlines the plans, “We are fortunate to have very spacious showrooms and all the measures you would expect are in place. All we ask is for customers to let us know when they are coming so we can manage the numbers. Whilst we would love to be at Spring Fair, our own event is the next best thing, customers seeing the range first-hand is so important and we are really looking forward to repeating the success of our Autumn Fair.” T: +44 (0)161 975 6300 www.joedavies.co.uk A new range of greetings cards designed by Janice Daughters of Art By Janice has been released just in time to enter into The Gift Of the Year Awards 2021.
