17 NEWS & EVENTS Spring Fair cancels physical show; launches Spring Fair @Home virtual format Hyve Group, the organiser of Spring Fair, together with the co-located Jewellery & Watch and Fashion (JWF) and Glee at Spring Fair, have announced that the physical show has now been cancelled and will be replaced with its Spring Fair @Home virtual event. Moda, the national footwear show, also organised by Hyve and planned to co-locate at Spring Fair 2021, also announced changes to its scheduled 2021 event. Due to new UK government restrictions on the reopening of business conferences and exhibition halls, Spring Fair will no longer take place in February 2021. The next planned home, gift and fashion retail event will be Autumn Fair, together with Moda, at the NEC Birmingham on 5 th -8 th September 2021, while Spring Fair will return as an in-person event, 6 th -10 th February 2022. Hyve and the team behind Spring Fair, JWF, Glee at Spring Fair and Moda are now working to deliver an enhanced virtual forum with product features and exclusive seminar content designed to educate and inform participants. More information on “Spring Fair @Home” will be available on the Spring Fair website, while “Fashion Together” can be found on the Moda website in due course. Hyve Group announce changes to the Pure London and Scoop calendars Hyve Group has announced a change in the dates of its London fashion shows, Pure London and Scoop. Pure London and Scoop will now take place as a virtual forum, Fashion Together. Due to the latest UK Government restrictions on the re-opening of business conferences and exhibition halls, Hyve Group has been forced to cancel events scheduled to take place in February 2021, including Pure London and Scoop. The next planned fashion events will take place on 12 th - 14 th September 2021, with very exciting plans to be announced soon. Following the cancellation of Jacket Required’s July edition, moving forwards the menswear portfolio will be curated by Karen Radley Founder and MD of Scoop. This new edit of menswear collections will mirror the premium line-up of Scoop’s women’s fashion labels and will be part of the show’s exciting September 2021 edition. Hyve Group and the Scoop and Pure London teams are now working to deliver an enhanced virtual forum with product features and exclusive seminar content designed to educate and inform participants. Founder and managing director of Scoop, Karen Radley says, “The Scoop team have been determining the best path forward for our next show in February 2021. “Our priority at Scoop is the wellbeing and safety of all our exhibitors and visitors. In the face of ongoing UK government restrictions for trade shows, we have had to make the difficult decision to cancel the upcoming February edition of Scoop and reschedule the show to 12 th -14 th September 2021. “In the meantime, we will be sending out exciting details about the September show at the Saatchi Gallery very soon, so please stay tuned for future communications regarding updates and developments going forward.” Fashion Together, Hyve Group’s virtual forum, will take place on 23 rd February, 2021, and will be open to both brands and buyers. Designed to unite the Hyve Group Fashion Portfolio, which includes Moda, Pure London, and Scoop, Fashion Together will provide expert content, brand and product showcases, essential trend insights and more. Scoop and Pure London’s next editions will now take place on 12 th -14 th September, 2021 with more details to be announced soon.  NEW DATES FOR THE SOURCE TRADE SHOW Following the current lockdown measures and continuing COVID-19 uncertainty, the Source trade show has been postponed until June. The show will now take place from Tuesday 8 th – Wednesday 9 th June, at Westpoint Exeter. Mike Anderson, Managing Director of show organiser Hale Events, says “Based on current market conditions, in this extraordinary year, we do not believe that running the show in February will present the best opportunity for the food and drink sector in the SW. Although postponing Source was not an easy decision, we are delighted to have secured these new dates, which will allow visitors to trade though Easter and the Spring, before coming to find new products and suppliers for Summer and beyond.” The event offers a valuable mix of comparative tastings, innovative ideas, networking opportunities and inspirational experiences. The show will have COVID-19 measures in place to ensure a safe environment for both buyers and exhibitors, and following a challenging 2020, it’s the perfect opportunity to get back up to speed and kickstart your business for the year.
