114 Onwards and upwards W hile store closures have spelled constant uncertainty over the past year, and the current third national lockdown causing more burden to the high street, successful vaccine trials make the future look bright. While consumers may be tentative before the vaccine comes into play, measures such as 24-hour trading laws, and increased safety in-store safety guidance will undoubtedly allay any worries. I talk more about how to adapt and adopt wider safety guidelines in store on my blog on page 158. As we step into the new year and trade picks up, it’s vital to have the right stock available to catch the inevitably upsurge in sales.
