REPEAT REPEAT +44 (0)1782 845 870, sales@repeatrepeat.co.uk, www.repeatrepeat.co.uk Expanding on its successful Happiness range, Repeat Repeat has added Country & Coast to its collection of bone china. Using its signature mid-century styled illustration, the countryside theme includes pheasants, stags, cows, sheep and pigs. The coastal design features sailing boats. Happiness is being in Wales, Scotland, the Lake District, Devon, Cornwall, Yorkshire and the Cotswolds, which are all available as standard with its appropriate charming illustrations. The company has also added a personalised option to the range to feature specific locations. For a small additional cost Repeat Repeat can add your town, village or area to give your shop a valuable point of difference. BASKETBASKET +44 (0)1420 85112, sales@basketbasket.co.uk, www.basketbasket.co.uk BasketBasket imports handmade ethically produced woven baskets, bags, handbags, sun hats and raffia giraffes – eco-friendly and stylish for everyday living. The products are all made in Ghana, Madagascar and Morocco where the work is done in the villages and homes of its artisans; no factory work is involved in the making of the stock. Everything is made with natural sustainable products – palm leaves and grasses, which vary from country to country. The leather handles on some styles are the by-product from meat production – nothing goes to waste and at the end of their working life, they will biodegrade. Since starting BasketBasket in October 2008, the company has been lucky enough to visit many of its artisans to experience their way of life and see first-hand how the production process works. The majority are farmers first but weave to supplement their income. Climate change is having an effect on their crops, so money earned from weaving ensures a regular income all year round. The baskets are ideal for shopping – a much better alternative than plastic bags – and can also be used for the beach, picnics, laundry, household storage and much more. They make excellent gifts, although most people like to keep one or two for themselves, says owner Virginia. She continues, “We are a family-run business based in north east Hampshire. Having lived in France, I fell in love with baskets but could never find them in the UK. We started with a small selection of the traditional couffin style (French market basket) in 2007 as we wanted to offer an eco-friendly alternative to people who share our belief in the demise of the plastic shopping bag. So, we were delighted when the ban was introduced in October 2015. Since then the range has grown to include handbags, sun hats and our ever-popular raffia giraffes –they guarantee a smile.” BE FOR CHANGE hello@be-for-change.com, www.be-for-change.com Introducing the Wonky Bucket Bag, the new addition to Be For Change’s Upcycled Leather Collection. Ana Carneiro, founder of Be For Change, says, “It’s perfect for carefree outings when the essentials are all you need – like a coffee date with your BFF on a Sunday or dinner at your favorite local restaurant!” The Wonky Bucket Bag is a new zero- waste bag, made from small pieces of leather headed to landfill and deadstock fabric. The Wonky Bucket Bag measures just over 4.7 in/12cm in each direction, with a single long strap that you can wear cross-body or tie to create a shorter handle. It is a hand-crafted leather bag made at the Be For Change studio with salvaged British bovine leather. Each basket diverts about 950 square centimetres of leather from landfill and 700 square centimetres of fabric.
