76 What challenges have you overcome? Over the last 20 years we have had a recession, Brexit and now the coronavirus. Fluctuations in the value of the pound have been very challenging, we have had to take a hit many times and cut back and much as possible in hard times. In 2012 a major supplier of recycled glass went into administration, so we had to build up our range again from scratch. Being small we can adapt and make changes quickly and effectively, which has seen us through these challenges. We never stop learning, every day’s a school day! Tell us about your product offering. We have always sourced recycled and natural products. Historically our main range has been 100% recycled glass. We have stuck by this from the very beginning and I think we are now known well throughout the home and gift and hospitality industries for this. Our lamp range has quickly grown in popularity and this is now our best seller. What are your most popular items? Our lamps, which we introduced four years ago, are now our most popular range. Have any styles taken you by surprise with their popularity? The largest lamps are very popular, which was very surprising as we had not sold a significant volume of large pieces prior to their introduction and had mainly stuck to smaller pieces in our range. How do you keep your designs fresh and current? Do you follow trends? We keep a close eye on trends and are searching constantly for products and ideas. Larger stores like Liberty are a great source for inspiration and we follow the interior design press. We attend Ambiente every spring, which showcases a world of possibilities. What sets you apart from your competitors? Our USP is that all our items are recycled, they are either made in Europe, or
