Humblewood’s items are designed and created in Great Britain using sustainable hardwoods, sourced mainly from Cumbria and Yorkshire. Designer- maker Bob Bryant, ably assisted by sister Eunice, works with sustainably-sourced native hardwoods – particularly Ash and Sycamore – to handcraft the goods. The company’s first ‘proper’ product was the All-in-a-row vase. Originally intended to be an alternative to the traditional ‘pot’ vase, it turned out to be especially suited to the narrow windowsills found in homes with sash windows. Due to its narrow shape, the All-in-a-row vase also makes a brilliant table centre – the company has made them up to 1m long, with 21 flower inserts. When you plant the paper in a pot of soil or outside in the garden, the seeds in the paper germinate and grow into plants. The wildflower seed paper contains a mix of Bird’s Eye, Clarkia, Black Eyed Susan, Sweet Alyssum, Catchfly, and Snapdragon.
