13 NEWS & EVENTS Celebrating design, creativity and innovation within the Greetings & Stationery industry, Top Drawer is thrilled to announce the winners of this season’s PaperAwards, supported by G.F Smith. The winners will be on display at the January edition of the show. Taking place for the 8 th time, the PaperAwards entries once again impressed the prestigious list of judges, which included the likes of the Design Museum, Fortnum & Mason, Heal’s, the V&A, Papersmiths, Paperchase, Five & Dime, The Hambledon and Postmark Online. Top Drawer show director, Alejandra Campos said, “This season has seen the highest number of entries for the PaperAwards yet, not to mention the most incredible quality. The awards continue to be a highly respected and effective initiative to recognise and support the work of publishers and designers, giving them added exposure to the very best retailers at our show and the judging day, as well as promotion through our expansive marketing and communication channels.” The PaperAwards includes four categories: Exciting Use of Colour, Emotive Design, Engaging Print and Best Stationery Design. For more information, please visit the website topdrawer.co.uk Winners of the PaperAwards S/S20 announced Launchpad 2020 open for entries The London Stationery Show is the UK’s only trade show dedicated to writing and paper products. The annual trade show attracts the UK’s biggest retailers, brands and influential buyers in the stationery sector. The show is an important moment in the industry’s calendar, where key suppliers and retailers come together, so is the perfect platform for this initiative. LaunchPad gives winners the chance to showcase their products at the London Stationery Show, alongside the top brands in the industry. Entrants just need to put their idea and a product sample forward to be in with a chance of winning a free exhibition stand at the 2020 show, taking place from 21 st -22 nd April. The competition will be judged by leading names and retailers from the stationery sector who will be looking for products they think will grab the interest of the industry and all the stationery loving consumers out there. LaunchPad is open to any company which, or individual who: • Has not previously appeared at Stationery Shows in London or Manchester. • Has the rights to sell the featured product. • Doesn’t currently sell the featured product through any UK national retail accounts/ distributors in the stationery retail sector. The year 2020 marks the London Stationery Show’s 10 th birthday and LaunchPad winners will receive a free display space at the show, a listing on the show’s website and in the Show Guide. All winners receive fantastic exposure to the UK’s leading retailers and suppliers visiting the show, as well as free PR and marketing support from the show team. Bristol-based sustainable stationery company VENT for Change, which was a winner in 2019, is returning as a fully-fledged exhibitor in 2020. Other notable successes include Clipmatic, Paper Mirchi, Back Pocket Notebook, Peace & Blessings and Treewise Pencils.
