This is a show that’s not just about buying but has so much more to offer with awards, workshops, networking and talks among the many added extras. What’s new! With so much emerging talent arising in Scotland, there’s plenty to be excited about at this northern show. The creative Craft Gallery is not to be missed as it’s there that Scottish talent from bespoke producers will be showcased, aimed specifically at craft shops and galleries such as Clarabella Christie, Tessuti, Olive Pearson designs, Helen Ruth Scarves, Carla Edwards Jewellery, BAKKA, Green Thomas and Lynsey Walters Jewellery. Look and learn The Talking Shop area has so much to offer visitors from a range of informative talks and workshops on subjects such as Retail Trends, Social Media Masterclass for Retailers, Tips to attract Tourists and more. Nessie’s Den is also returning for its second year. Here emerging producers will showcase their products to the ‘Nessies’ – well respected retailers – in the mode of the BBC’s Dragon’s Den in an entertaining and exciting session. The best Product Awards will be judged on the opening day with the resulting winners’ products on display in the centre of the show. Why so special? Scotland’s Trade Fair has evolved over the decades to become a ‘must attend’ event in the calendar of all retailers, farm shops, tourist destinations and department stores. Many of the exhibitors will only exhibit here so it’s key to come and see and touch their products and place orders ahead of the competition. With many visitors spread all over the country, the show promises to be a great networking and sociable event where friendships can be re-kindled and new suppliers sought. With so many working in isolation, this type of event is critical to ensure retailers are spot on with their approach, buying and outlook. Helen Crawford from The Old School in Beauly said, “We always think of the Scottish show as an opportunity to cement already existing supplier relationships, meet the new kids on the block and touch base with our fellow retailers. If you want the best of commercial, good Scottish product, this trade show is an unmissable date in the buying calendar. The icing on the cake is that it’s also the friendliest show you could imagine attending!” Mark Saunders, Scotland’s Trade Fair show director added, “Scotland’s Trade Fair is so much more than just another gift, jewellery and textiles show. It’s often where new products are unveiled and launched to the market; where orders are placed and new relationships made; where interesting market insight and selling techniques are imparted and where shops are inspired as to what to stock for the coming year. Make sure this date is not missed!”  For further information, please visit spring.scotlandstradefairs.co.uk There’s so much to look forward to as we head north this January IN BRIEF Show Scotland’s Trade Fair Spring Organiser Springboard Events Where SEC, Glasgow When 19 th – 21 st January, 2020 Website scotlandstradefairs.co.uk
