Gift Focus - Jul/Aug 2019 (Issue 114)

85 HOME & GIFT HEAVEN SCENT Stand: Q-E87 W: heavenscent.co.uk Heaven Scent has been producing vegan-friendly candles since the company began in the ’90s. Back then, vegan was a niche word and a small product category only considered by a small market. Twenty years on, there’s a marked change, with customers more engaged than ever, asking ethical questions about what they buy, vegan-friendly products and sustainable and plastic-free alternatives. Heaven Scent is proud to be ahead of the curve and able to meet the demands of the new and emerging ethical consumer. On show will be a new collection of vegan products, consisting of candles, reed diffusers and soaps with branded vegan labels. The company is also developing its own shampoo bar, addressing the demand for further plastic-free alternatives, and is actively working to address the issues of plastic packaging in its body products. SEA GEMS Stand: C15 W: seagems.co.uk Sea Gems is a family-run Cornish company with more than 35 years of experience in design-led jewellery and gifts. Launching for summer 2019 is a selection of exciting new collections of beautifully presented, high- quality original products for boutiques, gift shops and jewellers looking for something different at an affordable price. The Silver Origins jewellery brand features contemporary handcrafted 925 sterling silver pieces, combining high-polish and textured surfaces with gold vermeil or semi-precious stones, enhancing the beauty and spirit of each piece. The collection features striking organic designs, the intricate Beachcomber range, delicate botanical and wildlife designs and whimsical motifs that celebrate love and life. The Celtic Lands silver collection evokes Cornwall’s rich heritage. Many new designs will be added to the successful brand this year. The art of fine enamelling creates fusions of vibrant colours and has been used to create distinctive jewellery and gifts in the Mackintosh, Celtic and Nature ranges. Gifts include pens, bookmarks, compact mirrors, pillboxes and scarf rings. Branded packaging and POS are available, and all products can be easily ordered online. Customers can also take advantage of the company’s knowledgeable customer service team. THE PUPPET COMPANY Stand: DP1-A83 W: thepuppetcompany.com The Puppet Company is adding more new characters to the popular Animal Puppet Buddies collection. Arriving in time for Harrogate are a unicorn, a T-rex, a sloth and two dragons, one red and the other green. The puppets are made from super-soft fabrics with close attention to detail and stuffed full of fun. Like the rest of the bright collection, they retail at £7.50. The Animal Puppet Buddies collection includes 30 favourite animals, with African, domestic, woodland and farm animals all designed to fit a child’s or an adult’s hand. They are certificated for 12 months and up and are the perfect starter puppet for any budding puppeteer. Another new puppet collection is Story Tellers, which includes a prince, princess, king, queen and fairy puppets. There are also two new super hero characters to allow young minds to fly. Wilberry Toys will also be on the stand, showing more than 100 additions to the hugely popular soft toy collection. Wilberry has grown immensely in the past year, seeing a massive surge in sales over the last six months. The company attributes this to keen price points and wholesale prices that allow the retailer to achieve at least a 2.4 margin. New point-of-sale is available to show the products looking their best, with three sixes of shelf baskets and a floor stand with a footprint the size of a carpet tile. New designs for autumn, Christmas and spring 2020 will also be on display. 
