75 HOME & GIFT BLUE EYED SUN Stand: DP1-D110 W: blueeyedsun.co.uk Blue Eyed Sun has launched a new range of hand-finished greetings cards under the Doodle Girl brand. Originally brought to life in a series of books by Simon & Schuster, the brand celebrates the power of imagination through doodling. Doodle Girl was conceived by Marnie Maurri alongside accomplished authors Lindsay Taylor and Suzanne Smith. The brand combines lyrical wording with clever collage, resulting in a colourful, adventure-filled world. The cards are hand-finished with biodegradable glitter and jewels. There are 24 everyday and 12 Christmas designs available, with a further 24 spring designs coming soon. Each card comes wrapped with a colour coordinated envelope. All cards are 150mm square, made from FSC- certified paper and ordered in sixes. Blue Eyed Sun is a previous Henries Award winner in the Best Cute category. Managing director Jeremy Corner said: “We absolutely love these Doodle Girl designs. They each have a story to tell and are fun and very cute.” Illustrator Marnie Maurri said: “I’m so excited by how Blue Eyed Sun has translated my designs into such a beautiful range. The fact that it’s manufactured sustainably is the icing on the cake!” The greetings cards are the first products to be launched in a range of sustainable products licensed by Doodle Girl, which is represented by Nutmeg Licensing. The new cards will be on show at Harrogate Home & Gift alongside Blue Eyed Sun’s existing card ranges and the Bamboo Cup collections.
