16 ITE GROUP ANNOUNCES NEW EVENT DIRECTOR FOR JACKET REQUIRED AND MODA The ITE Group’s fashion portfolio recently announced the appointment of Adam Gough as the new event director for leading fashion trade shows Jacket Required and Moda. Martin Arnold, fashion portfolio director at ITE Group, said: “I’m delighted to announce that Adam Gough has been promoted to event director on Jacket Required and Moda. Adam is highly passionate and has many years’ experience working on Pure London and Pure Man.” Adam said: “Both Moda and Jacket Required are market leaders with huge potential for growth. I’ve always admired Jacket Required; it attracts some of my personal favourite brands such as Porter, Edwin and Armor Lux. The edit of the show, carefully curated with some of the best international brands, has always made it a must-attend and inspirational event for the industry. There is nothing else like it in the UK. Moda also shares its own sense of community – it really feels like a fashion family get together. The market is changing and fashion trade shows need to be able to adapt, making the customer experience easier and more rewarding. There are some really exciting developments in the pipeline for both shows, so watch this space.” Adam Gough started his career in fashion at Diesel before joining Pure London to guide the show’s transformation into a festival of fashion while managing the footwear and accessories section and heading up Pure Man. The next edition of Jacket Required takes place at Old Truman Brewery on the 24 th -25 th July, 2019. More than 22,000 visitors and 1,300 exhibitors are expected for this year’s Autumn Fair at the NEC. The huge show is timed for last- minute stocking up before the all-important festive period and key dates for 2020. For this year’s show, the exhibition moves to a new venue within the NEC. The re-edited event will be hosted in the Atrium to make it as easy as possible for visitors to get around the show. All gifting categories have been brought together into one Gift sector, creating one of the UK’s largest gatherings of gift inspiration under one roof. The 2019 re-edit also brings together the show’s home and interiors sectors, creating an all-new sourcing and exhibiting destination. The new show sectors are: Beauty & Wellbeing, Living, Gift (Contemporary Edit), Gift (General), Greetings & Stationery, Accents & Décor, Everyday, Retail Solution, Fashion, Play & Tech, The Summerhouse and Sourcing. Each sector will welcome new exhibitors, as well as the usual visitor favourites. Both the General and Contemporary edits of the Gift sector will focus on trend-led products, including wellbeing gifts and scented candles and diffusers, giving it plenty of crossover opportunities with the Living sector. Exhibitors such as Eclectic Lifestyle, Bubblegum and Zakka Europe will be joining the show as part of the Contemporary edit, while Yankee Candle, Puckator and Widdop & Co. will be key exhibitors in the General edit. The DesignFirst platform for new exhibitors will also return for Autumn Fair after a successful run at Spring Fair 2019. The Gift sector will flow seamlessly into the Greetings area, which will support exhibitors of giftable and greetings items, as more greetings card suppliers bring stationery and novelty products to their offerings. A new sourcing zone will also feature at the show. Throughout hall 10, international manufacturers will bring gift and home products, toys, fashion items and kitchen and dining products from Portugal, Indonesia, China and India, among other nations. Julie Driscoll, managing director at Autumn Fair, said: “The new sourcing hall will bring the best of the world to our door, ensuring that buyers who ordinarily wouldn’t have the resource to commit to costly trips abroad to visit potential suppliers can make connections here at Autumn Fair. Not only that, but we’ll be pushing to attract more international retailers to buy from the UK- based suppliers that are the foundation of the show.” Autumn Fair will run from 1 st -4 th September 2019 at the NEC Birmingham.
