Wraptious partners with Trees for the Future In April, Wraptious launched a partnership with Trees for the Future, a charity dedicated to ending hunger and poverty for small-holder farmers by revitalising degraded lands. This is achieved by strategic planting of fast-growing trees, fruit trees, hardwoods and food crops over a four-year period. The aim is to create sustainable food sources, livestock feed, products to sell, fuel wood and a 400 per cent increase in annual income. In this new partnership, Wraptious has pledged three trees for every order the company receives, no matter how small. This is a part of the company’s continuing Go Further mission, building meaningful relationships with artists, customers, the community and the environment. Prior to this, initiatives to improve sustainability have included recycling in the office, donating old stock to charity and printing on FSC-certified sustainable card. In order to reduce the use of single-use plastic, Wraptious has also launched cellophane-free cards for all retail orders and as an option for trade. Simon Wadsworth, director, said: “Every business has a responsibility to make a difference – even little acts from all of us can have a huge impact. By pledging to plant three trees for every order we receive – even for just one greetings card on our retail shop – we’re pledging to support the community and wider precious environment in which we all share.” The company has planted 10,000 trees and is targeting 100,000.
