Gift Focus - Jan/Feb 2019 (Issue 111)

156 giftfocus ENESCO Stand: 4H100 W: enesco.co.uk This is a very special year for Enesco, as the company celebrates its 25 th anniversary. Having purchased Lilliput Lane and Border Fine Arts, the company was registered as Enesco European Giftware Group in 1994. The two joined forces and moved to a new headquarters in Carlisle, which remains its home today. Where times have changed, Enesco’s vision and values have remained the same, and the company remains a leader in the classic and contemporary collectibles and the gift-giving market. Enesco’s portfolio has expanded to include licensed products from big-name brands such as Disney, Beatrix Potter and Peppa Pig. These add to the exclusive distribution of Gund, Willow Tree and, new for 2019, Lihit Lab. For Spring Fair, Enesco is showing a wide variety of products from a number of exciting licences. The Disney Showcase collection sees the addition of a wonderful Maleficent as Dragon Figurine, rendered in beautiful detail with dark scales and a deep purple under belly. With chest raised and mouth open, a clear resin flame bursts from its mouth in the iconic green seen in the film. From GUND comes Dragonsheen – Pusheen in a new mint green colour, with purple-accented wings and spine- detailing down her back. Measuring 24cm tall and weighted to sit upright, Pusheen’s paws are held up in a frightening but cute stance. Suitable for children one year and over, the Dragonsheen plush is hand-washable and comes with a lenticular hand tag. New in Jim Shore’s Heartwood Creek collection are farmyard additions to the White Woodland collection. Following the sell-out success of the 2018 launch, the new farmyard animals have year-round appeal. The expanded collection now includes a pig, cow and rooster in Jim’s recognisable design style combining folk art and quilt designs. Lihit Lab has added a new and innovative storage solution to its Punilabo collection in the form of cute animal pen cases. Each pen case features the facial colourings and characteristics of a different animal, a including pig, penguin and cat. The top of the pen case, which acts as a lid, forms the head of the animal, and the extending base forms the tail or legs. The extendable base also retracts into the pen case, allowing it to stand upright as a pen pot. In collaboration with artist Susan Lordi, there are two new additions to the Willow Tree Signature collections. The newest figures, Wishing and Everyday Blessings, are inspired by the beauty in everyday things – the wonders of nature, our wishes and dreams and loving relationships. Willow Tree is identifiable by the absence of facial features, creating a simplicity of form where expression is revealed through gesture only. exhibitor profiles
