108 giftfocus GROOVY UK Stand: 6H40-J41 W: groovyuk.com Groovy UK will be launching its new ranges at Spring Fair, with licences including Frida Kahlo, Mr Men, Brandalised, Jimmy The Bull and Gudetama, boosting the creativity and style of Groovy and growing new product areas within its licenses. Frida Kahlo is recognised as one of the 20th century’s most iconic women, a talented Mexican artist and activist renowned for self-portraits. Brandalised is an urban graffiti licence with high visibility and recognition with a collection of artworks and photographs of Banksy graffiti. Mr Men and Little Misses, the fun little characters we have all grown up with, have expanded over time to include cheeky new personalities without sacrificing the cool 1970s edge. Gudetama is a lazy egg, cracked too early on the wrong side of the shell. Starring in short animations, muttering and grumbling, complaining and sighing, he’s one of the newest characters to come out of Sanrio, the Japanese mega company that created Hello Kitty. Harry Potter continues to be a lucrative licence for the company, and the design team is continually refreshing the range with new lines. A Patronus, Hedwig, love potion and Kawaii character ranges are the most recent additions, with bathrobes, slippers, bags and lighting. Kawaii means “the culture of cuteness,” and no matter your age the range’s adorable characters are irresistible. Fantastic Beasts has enjoyed great success following the release of the second movie, and Groovy UK has created collections inspired by these weird and wonderful characters and creatures. Groovy UK’s philosophy in the world of official licensed giftware is designing and creating original products in line with trends in movies, TV and fashion, as well as well as always maintaining a sense of humour to add fun to sharing gifts across apparel, accessories and homewares. If you love eccentric gifting, Groovy UK is the place to be. exhibitor profiles
