The Greeting Card Association, National Handwriting Association and Writing Instruments Association (part of the BOSS Federation) are partnering with National Stationery Week to encourage more people to put pen to paper and not just text or use email, Facebook and Twitter.
National Stationery Week is organised by the London Stationery Show and is sponsored by Faber-Castell, Letts Filofax, Post-it, Sheaffer and Zebra Pen. It runs from Monday 31st March - Sunday 6th April, 2014.
“The Greeting Card Association is delighted to support this important campaign,” says Sharon Little, Chief Executive of the GCA. “It's been proven that handwriting is important in child development and helps with thoughts and ideas, thinking, language and working memory. There is also no better form of emotional communication – in adult life, sending a handwritten card is one of the most important tools for showing we care about the people we love.”

This year's campaign reached more than 20 million consumers via press and broadcast media, and an extensive PR, online and social media campaign.
