Fashion mask kit launched

The latest in fashion face masks has been unveiled by The Printable Mask co. Ltd. Now with just the touch of a button (and a quick selfie) you can coordinate your face covering with any outfit in your wardrobe and craft your own matching mask using the Mask Of The Day (MaskOTD) home printing kit.

Fashion mask kit launched: Image 1 MaskOTD has been tested to meet World Health Organisation guidelines for barrier masks and AFNOR guidance on filtration and breathability.

Whether it be a leopard print, stripy, geometric or a bright and bold kind of day, included in the kit is a special QR code guiding the user to an app that features patented technology which creates a template to match that of the image you upload, then allows you to print the image straight onto the cotton inkjet sheets from a regular home printer and construct your own face covering.

The easy-to-follow video tutorial will have you crafting custom masks in minutes! The kit includes inkjet printable, breathable, 100 per cent cotton sheets with filtration fabric inserts, elasticated ear loops, comfort fit adjustable nose bands and iron-on web adhesive. Users require a device running iOS 13 or Android 9 and a home printer to create their own unique masks in three easy steps:
Step 1 - Scan the QR to download the MaskOTD App and follow the video tutorial
Step 2 - Take and upload a close up picture of your chosen outfit for the day
Step 3 - Print out your mask and construct using the handy MaskOTD kit

Dr. Graeme Taylor and successful entrepreneur Richard North, co-founders of innovative toy company Wow! Stuff, set up The Printable Mask Co; a new venture to help in the fight against COVID-19. Mask Of The Day is the first product it has launched backing government guidelines and encouraging the regular day-to-day use of masks during the global pandemic.

Richard North, CEO of Wow! Stuff said: "Wow! Stuff is known for creating the most innovative toys in the world. Just ahead of lockdown in February we were awarded the innovation 'Toy of the Year award' in New York. With the use of face coverings being encouraged by many countries around the world many still seem a little self-conscious wearing them in public. We thought we could encourage younger people to feel more comfortable wearing them if they fitted in with their lifestyle.

North continued, "As we head into what everyone is calling the 'new normal', we're pleased to unveil this brand new product that features impressive technology which will hopefully inspire people to get creative in the current climate, but most importantly encourage safety and use of masks. In the midst of this global pandemic it is paramount that we don't get complacent with government guidelines and remain vigilant trying to do all we can to help combat this virus. By adapting the 'clinical look' and making masks become a part of our everyday wardrobe choices we hope more and more people will start wearing face coverings helping reduce the transmission of COVID-19."

For the launch, The Printable Mask co. has pledged to donate a minimum of £10,000 of the proceeds from the sale of the masks to NHS Charities Together. The RRP of a pack of five is £12.99 or purchase a 10 pack for £24.99.
