Product development began in 2016, with a mind to finding an alternative that would still look like a candle, display well and throw fragrance at least as well as a traditional scented candle. After several months of tweaking, prototypes, and experimentation, the original Magik Candle was created. The product consists of a glass jar with a hollow centre. The cavity between the inner and outer wall of the jar is filled with high-strength scented wax. The jar is placed over an electric base station that houses a special light bulb. As the bulb heats, the wax liquefies. The wax then releases the fragrance and the bulb through the wax gives the appearance of a flame without the risks. The candle can also be adjusted to control the strength of the fragrance, and each jar provides up to 200 hours of fragrance.

It was amazingly effective in producing a fabulous fragrance throw, was so easy to use, required virtually no user interaction, and could be left switched on as long as you like without flames to worry about. It also lasts a long time as the wax is not depleted! The Candle can even be recharged with our Fragrance Oils! We believe we've created the perfect scented candle.”
Busy Bee Candles applied for a patent, which was granted on the 30th October, 2018. This unique, British-designed patent represents a big step for the company.
