Updates for Exclusively Shows

Updates for Exclusively Shows: Image 1 There's only a month to go before Exclusively Housewares and Exclusively Electrical open in the Business Design Centre in London. With momentum building, further details about the show are emerging.

One of the year's biggest trends is products with strong eco-credentials. 25 per cent of exhibitors are showcasing products that focus on eco-friendly practice, with companies including Eddingtons, Huski, Smidge, Neat Idea and Dexam offering products products described as biodegradable, earth-friendly, minimal impact or made with recycled materials.

One in five exhibitors registered for the show selected the categories Hydration and Food On The Go. This is indicative of the demand for these products, as consumers continue to search for products that reduce single-use plastics and the waste associated with disposable paper cups. Food containers continue to offer more useful features, such as cooling, dividers and inclusive cutlery, as well as alternatives for cling film including Roll'Eat from Auteur and products from Eddingtons and Charles Viancin. When it comes to hydration, differentiation is coming from materials, ease of cleaning, biodegradability and colour and styling. Soda Stream, Grunwerg, Thermos, Aydya are a few names in this category.

As in previous years, tabletop and small domestic appliances will be a large part of the show. One in three stands will feature bakeware, more than 40 per cent will exhibit cookware, and 30 exhibitors offering small domestic appliances will be at the show, the bulk of these appearing in Exclusively Electrical.

Cleaning and storage options are also on the rise from previous years, as are home accessories. Gifting products will also have a larger presence at this year's show, as housewares are increasingly given as gifts. Nearly a third of exhibitors will show giftware this year.
