Gift Focus - Sep/Oct 2018 (Issue 109)

When did the Personalised Memento Company start up, and what were the reasons for launching the business? Personalised Memento Company (PMC) started back in 2004 with just one engraving machine. At this time, personalisation was in its infancy and was only just starting to catch on. We saw a gap in the market for a one-stop supplier of personalised gifts, so we launched PMC with the goal of becoming the UK’s leading personalised gift supplier to the trade, which is something I’m confident that we’ve done! Can you tell us about your product offering and how it works? We supply a huge range of personalised gifts, covering all gifting occasions such as Christmas, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day, Valentine’s Day, weddings and so much more. We use over 30 distinct production processes to personalise in excess of 6,000 individual products. Once produced, each product can be drop-shipped directly to the end customer, removing the need for our retailers to hold stock and the costs involved with this. This works well for both bricks and mortar retailers and their e-commerce counterparts, giving them flexibility to run their businesses without the hassle of fulfilling orders. We also require no minimum orders, as each gift is personalised to order. How has the company developed over time up to the present day? From humble beginnings all those years ago, we’ve gradually built up a loyal customer base alongside our growing product range. The demand for personalisation has gone from strength to strength, so it’s been vital for us to continue to innovate. To do this, we devote time and money into developing new products, increasing our production accuracy and efficiency while also training our staff to the highest standards. Our staff are passionate and dedicated to achieving success, helping to drive the company forward year on year. In fact, our core staff have been with us for many years, which has helped the company to continually grow.
