June’s successful Exclusively show saw a 10 per cent increase in visitor numbers. This year’s show was packed with more than 150 leading exhibitors, including 32 new exhibitors in housewares, tabletop and small domestic appliances, offering myriad new products and appealing brands. “The 2018 Exclusively Show exceeded even our high expectations” says show director Simon Boyd. "A sell-out show of leading proactive exhibitors, the new initiatives with bira and Sirius, an informative BHETA-sponsored seminar program, the growth of the brand showcase for consumer journalists and bloggers and the inspirational Scarlet Opus trend displays all contributed to our best show ever.” The Exclusively show is the UK’s premier showcase of housewares, tabletop and SDAs. Next year’s event will take place at the Business Design Centre on 11 th and 12 th June, 2019. Christmas comes early for Hale Events South West-based events company Hale Events Ltd has acquired one of the UK’s biggest festive shopping shows to add to its busy exhibition calendar. The popular Christmas Shopping Fayre, held annually at Exeter’s Westpoint, regularly attracts tens of thousands of festive shoppers, with more than 250 diverse stallholders offering Christmas lines each year. The Christmas Shopping Fayre was the brainchild of Barnstaple-based event organiser Grahame Davidson, and he had been running the show since 1996. Such is the appeal of the fair that a good number of traders have attended for more than 20 years. Hale Events has been organising shows in the South West for 25 years, and managing director Mike Anderson, commented: “We are delighted to add this popular and very successful fair to our South West show portfolio. This show complements the range of business-to-business shows that Hale organises and will provide a great direct sales opportunity for our clients at a fantastic time of year.” Most importantly for exhibitors and shoppers alike is that there will be no noticeable changes to the way the event has been run for so many years, and previous event organiser Grahame will continue to help with every aspect of the fair behind the scenes. The 2018 Christmas Shopping Fayre is already getting close to being fully booked, with a host of new traders with an array of lines joining the many popular regular stallholders.
