Gift Focus - Jul/Aug 2018 (Issue 108)

84 giftfocus exhibitor profiles TILNAR ART Stand: D58 tilnarart.co.uk Tilnar Art is delighted to be the new home for Azeti Interiors, which was an outstanding success at Spring Fair and is fast becoming the biggest-selling collection. The company has been ahead of the curve, as all its ranges are handmade, Fairtrade and recycled, which makes it a fabulous alternative to plastic, especially as the consumer begins to move away from plastic items. Another exciting development is that Tilnar has been working with great wildlife artist Meg Hawkins to develop a wildlife and Christmas range of the recycled aluminium bowls. Tilnar has put Meg’s stunning artwork on to the bowls and coasters to produce a new range that features robins, stags, pheasants, sheep, thistles, highland cows and many more during the coming year. Each product also comes in a superb presentation box, making a perfect gift. CREATIVE TOPS Stand: DP2-44, DP2-47 creative-tops.com Creative Tops will be launching its new range of Maxwell & Williams homewares after recently acquiring the distribution rights to this iconic brand. New products being exhibited on the stand will include the stunning new Caviar Speckle collection. Complementing existing matte black Caviar products, new Speckle pieces feature a charcoal- speckled glaze atop textural cream plates, serving platters and bowls. Also being showcased will be Marini Ferlazzo tableware, where the natural world comes to life. Each collectible piece features a recreation of wildlife portraits by Nathan Ferlazzo, hand-drawn with a traditional nib and Indian ink. Creative Tops will also be exhibiting a new collection from Mikasa, named after the Azores. In this striking collection, abstract markings of rich blue are warmed by exotic gold, while a hammered texture, crafted with rambling edging, adds a handmade feel to plates, bowls and mugs. Meaning “the warmth of the winter sun,” Katie Alice will introduce the new Wild Apricity collection. A romantic floral design sees rambling blooms and rusted foliage unfurl on a luxuriously dark canvas, framing a dusky blue wildlife scene of a lakeside hunting bird. A collection to add fun and absurd poetry to the mug cupboard, the new Nonsense Alphabet from V&A styles rhymes, sketches and a medley of colour, with a bit of nonsense thrown in! Stanzas from Edward Lear’s Nonsense Alphabet are patterned across mugs, featuring his matching illustrations for the letters and a colourful handle.
