The world’s largest showcase for gifts and premiums HKTDC Hong Kong Gifts & Premium Fair 2018 will run from 27 th - 30 th April, 2018 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. Recognised as the largest fair of its kind in the world, the fair is a highly effective platform for designers, manufacturers and wholesalers to make new business acquaintances. The 2017 fair hosted more than 4,300 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions and attracted close to 47,000 international buyers. Future prospects for growth The independent on-site survey commissioned by HKTDC interviewed more than 950 exhibitors and buyers, reflecting that the industry is generally optimistic about the market this year. Over 90 per cent of the respondents expect overall sales to increase or remain steady this year, up 22 percentage points from 2016. Some 14 per cent of respondents expect advertising gifts and premiums to have the strongest growth potential this year, followed by figurines and decorations, technology gifts and fashion jewellery and accessories. New zone The World of Camping & Outdoor Goods will be introduced in 2018 to offer a wide spectrum of gears for outdoor activities. Thematic zones The Hall of Fine Designs features excellence in design and strong brand identity. This area is a star showcase gathering products that are set to be best-selling gifts in the market. With products ranging from electronic gadgets to customised gift items, the exhibits shown at this hall are produced by some celebrated brands in the industry, which consistently prioritise design, quality and craftsmanship. In 2017, more than 130 designer brands were housed in the zone displaying cutting-edge merchandises, including B.Duck, Cross, Hugo Boss, Kaweco, Moleskine, Nina Ricci, Police, Pork Chop & Friends, Sanrio, TeamGreen and so on. The World of Gift Ideas displays all kinds of giftware with a trendy edge. The Luxury Gifts area houses silverware, porcelain and other luxe lifestyle gifts. The Licensed Gifts sector creates boundless licensing opportunities and enriches the gifts market. The Tech Gifts section exhibits accessories for electronic devices. The Fashion Accessories space consists of handbags, hair ornaments, sunglasses and fashion jewellery that deliver latest fashion trends. Boost for entrepreneurs The Startup Zone provides a cost-effective platform for talented designers and young entrepreneurs to reach out to feature their latest innovations and creativity to international markets and business partners. Making market impact The Product Demonstration and Launch Pad offer opportunities to show products in detail to a gathering of buyers.
