The 2018 trade catalogue is almost ready for printing, barring a few tweaks here and there! Mary Ann began her career as an artist when very young. Much of her childhood was spent with a sketchbook in hand, creating accurate drawings of all the things that interested her, from twigs and leaves to hills, horses and the castles of her native Northumberland coastline. After a disastrous early marriage, with two small children, no qualifications or income, Mary Ann drew on her only skills, and tentatively became a self-employed artist at 26 years old. Over the years, much has changed, apart from her commitment to remain true to the integrity of the work, and to remain driven by a passion for the subject and her chosen medium, watercolour. Her work has truly struck a chord with the art-buying public, and has been exhibited around the world, gaining critical review as well as loyal collectors. Mary Ann has contributed towards this magazine several times over the years, has written and had her work featured in many art books, and enjoys working in a supportive role within several educational and charitable organisations, including a project run by a mental health charity and a local special needs school. The new range of limited edition prints will be launched at the Fair, plus 40 greetings cards, featuring the birds, wildlife and flowers. A selection of the gift range, including stationery, tableware and new scarves will also be featured.
