Import Services wins Fun4Kids' logistics business

The idea of bringing logistics to life with characters Pic 'n' Pac has proved a successful strategy for the logistics firm with the characters helping to attract new clients.

The characters caught the eye of Fun4Kids' director Garry Mills prompting him to call on Import Services for an urgent job. As a result the Southampton port based logistics company has now won all Fun4Kids' import, storage and distribution work.

Fun4Kids imports a range of outdoor playthings from bouncy castles to trampolines, ride on scooters and pools.
Import Services is now providing door to door logistics services for the company including inbound shipping management, customs freight simplified procedures and customs clearance, together with warehousing operations, order processing and high volume pick, pack and distribution to homes throughout the UK.

"Logistics is a processed based relatively dry subject so adding an element of fun having Pic 'n' Pac in our marketing, on our website and at trade shows is a great way to attract attention and promote our pick and pack services," said client services director Mike Thomas.

"Pic 'n' Pac have been pictured in our distribution centres, handling our clients' products ranging from toys and gifts to golf clubs and artwork, animating the logistics services we offer."

The contract with Fun4Kids sees Import Services providing a one-stop shop for the web based toy company.
